This is almost uncomfortably accurate. This design completely dismantles self-promotion – and not subtly, but with full, deliberate exaggeration. The style screams "Tradition!", while the motif itself is more... let's say: end-stage. Pathos on the outside, decay within. Bullseye pretty much hits it.

The break is what's crucial here. This venerable, loaded-looking font that immediately triggers certain associations – and next to it, this completely battered, pale blue, rotting chicken, which rather reminds one of what's left when you cling to your own myth for long enough. The maggots are not a detail, but the punchline. Nothing is explained, nothing is spelled out – you see it and you figure out the rest.

And then this completely over-the-top "Heimat" pathos on top: exactly those loaded "We are the people" vibes, just put through the meat grinder. Proud roaring suddenly turns into "Hail Chicken!" – a parody so flat and yet so precise that it makes all the pseudo-heroic seriousness collapse in on itself. All that remains of the great national bluster is... poultry scraps with poor posture.

That's what makes it so wickedly dark. The whole pathetic gesture is reduced to a rotting animal making its last "appearance" – and even that is just a caricature of itself. You can hardly get more deconstructive than that.
